| Previous Gigs: |
| 10th April 2005: Nomadica appeared at London's The Jazz Cafe as part of a Young Laniado Music evening |
|
As one of the only Jewish Music bands playing as part of the evenings lineup of 10 bands, Nomadica went down a storm with the young and funky crowd. Although many of the audience were Jewish, they were mainly young 20-somethings and not used to hearing Jewish music played in a modern style. We got 'em dancing! The other bands were great too, including the Wolfin Brothers who everyone raved about and Ilana Bendel who played a soft folky set. Ilana Lorraine and her crew of young Israeli musicians brought in some funky sounds and Nomadica's fiddle player Laoise appeared on one of her tracks which was based on the themes from the musical "Fiddler on the Roof". It brought the roof down (well almost!)

| Sunday 20th March 2005, Kaleidoscope: Kol Rina and Nomadica in Concert! Cecil Sharpe House, 2 Regent's Park Road, NW1. |

It was a fantastic evening's entertainment with lots of things goingon including Chinese & Woody Allen, Latkes and Doughnuts, a Masseuse!!! plus DJs Mark Greenfield and Donna Sherrington. It was an extraordinary evening, if a bit loud! F:or more information please see this PDFlyer

Sorry if you missed this one. Nomadica played an evening of Klezmer, Indian and Jewish Music in the in relaxed and colourful atmosphere of the Lincoln Lounge, Kings Cross. |
| 12th October 2004, 8pm. Yiddish Hoyz, 164 Grays Inn Road, to commemorate Daniel Pearl Day. |
|
Nomadica performed and hosted a jam evening at the Yiddsish Hoyz in commemoration of Daniel Pearl. We organised and played this gig as our tribute to Daniel Pearl and to all those who have lost their lives as a result of terror and hatred. We wanted to demonstrate through the power of music, that everyone can live together and work together and respect each other. We had a great musical evening with old friends and new, some who brought along their instruments. Juliet the guitarist / singer / songwriter performed songs from her colourful repertoire, Klezmer musicians including a French Horn and clarinet joined us for an upbeat Klezmer set, a drum workshop c/o Ailon Freedmans drum circle managed to fit cuban and latin rhythms to just about anything that we played, and Irish musicians from the Band The Muckers also belted out some reels and jigs. Thanks to everyone who joined us. We look forward to seeing you at future gigs!

"Bar's [Shlomo Bar, The Spitz, August 30th 2004] support act was Nomadica, a cheerful four-strong klezmer-with-a-twist band featuring accordion, flute, violin and mandolin and the unusual but very workable Indian tabla. We should hear more of them. They play with fire and fun."

| Jewish Chronicle, August 13th 2004 (impressions - Lawrence Joffe) |

"Supporting them [The Jews Brothers Band @ The Spitz, 4th August, 2004] was the equally energetic UK-based Nomadica. With sprightly mandolin, driving accordion and soaring clarinet, they performed klezmer bulgars, freylachs, sirbas and the odd wistfull doina. "They even showcased a tune discovered int eh belongings of the South African grandfather of vocalist and fiddler Laoise Davidson. A recent emitre from Belfast, she introduced her own engaging Irish Jewish composition, Naches Reel". "Nomadica's usual Indian tabla-drummer being unavailable, they segued from Bombay to Mararkech by borrowing a darbuka player from a local Sephardi band. "Surely their penchant for innovation proves that domestic klezmer will flourish, even after The Jews Brothers end their whirlwind UK tour tomorrow"
